NWIC hosts open mic Friday
Are you the next American Idol, or maybe you have a poem, joke or magic trick to share? No matter what your talent is or how good you are, you are invited to perform at Northwest Indian College (NWIC).
NWIC’s Pow Wow Committee will host an open mic on Friday, March 16 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Log Building on main campus. The event is free and open to everyone. Coffee, water and finger foods will be available.
This will be the first of what the Pow Wow Committee hopes will become a quarterly event.
“The committee wanted to host an event that will be fun for students and the community in hopes that it will bring people together and show that we are not just about pow wows, and are open to all types of culture, talent, and fun,” said Victor Johnny, Pow Wow Committee president.
Whether the committee decides to host future open mic nights depends on how well this one goes, so stop by and show your talent, or at least your support.
