Nisqually Photo Albums
During the school year, the Nisqually Tribal Library hosts various speaking events, movies and activities. Sometimes students receive extra credit or have assignments that are connected to these wonderfully educational events coordinated by the Tribal Library Manager, Faith Hagenhofer. Faith is also a tremendous help to our students outside of these activities.
Throughout the year, Nathanael Davis, coordinates various Saturday Science Projects with high school students along the Pacific Northwest Coast. Nathanael paid a visit to Nisqually and coordinated a fun Saturday Science Project with the Nisqually Community Garden and GRuB during the Winter Season. Enjoy our photos from Winter Quarter 2012! The NWIC Study Circle was established during the Winter Quarter 2012 as the first active student group here at the Nisqually campus. Students decided to create a group solely to support and uplift one another while working toward completing their Associate Degree here at Nisqually. Students not only formed weekly study sessions, they also conducted their first fundraiser to support future activities that would help Elders and tribal members as well as support weekly study sessions. We are looking forward to continuing to give back to the community in positive and productive ways!
Aside from fundraising and other extracurricular activities students spend most of their time in class! Check out these class photos throughout the year. Currently, our classes are being held at the Nisqually Tribal library and the Nisqually Youth Center. We are excited to move into our new Education building in the Summer!
