NWIC performance of "Indian Radio Days”
March 1, 2013 - 7:00pm
March 2, 2013 - 7:00pm
Northwest Indian College students will perform “Indian Radio Days” for this year’s winter theater production.
The story, which was written by Roxy Gordon and Leanne Howe (both Choctaw), takes place on the reservation and satirizes Indian stereotypes created by non-Indians. It's made up of short sketches and musical numbers.
"We hope you will be able to attend and see just how much talent we have here at our college," said Wayne Woods, NWIC instructor and director of the play. "The cast and musicians have worked hard to prepare this show and know that you will be entertained by it."
Performances, which are free, will take place at 7 p.m. on March 1 and 2 and again March 8 and 9 in the Cultural Arts Center on main campus.
