Native Health Career Fair
April 24, 2013 - 9:00am - 3:00pm
On April 24, Northwest Indian College will host a Native Health Career Fair that will steer people with interest in the health field in the right direction.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Northwest Indian College’s main campus. Lunch will be provided.
The Career Fair is being cosponsored by NWIC, the University of Washington School of Medicine, Washington State University School of Medicine and Western Washington University and representatives from each institution will be at the fair to answer questions.
“The purpose of our fair is to expose, inspire, and educate current and prospective Native American students to opportunities in careers related to health sciences,” said Chelsea Ross, who works in NWIC’s Center for Health. “The day will include exhibit booths, guest speakers, a student panel, and breakout sessions with hands on activities all designed to expose students to the types of health careers out there, what those fields are really about, and how to pursue those careers in higher ed.”
