Prosperity Through Financial Literacy
Are you ready to get financially fit? Make your own holiday gifts? Eat well on a budget? Then join us for one of our classes, workshops and fun events ~
Whether you want to start a business, buy a home, cut food costs, or pay off debt, personal financial literacy is the first step to gaining control over your financial future. Our monthly classes and workshops will help you make more informed financial decisions and take control of your personal, family and educational finances. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available.
NWIC Student Orientation Workshops on Budgeting your Money
Offered each quarter during ORIENTATION WEEK at the Cooperative Extension Office, Building #20. Sessions dates and times will be announced. Come learn more about:
- The true costs of college
- Important deadlines for FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
- How to find funds for college
- Costs of credit (student loans)
- Creating a budget
- Tips for making your money stretch

Building Native Communities Financial Skills for Families Workshop
This 2-day Financial Literacy workshop is offered during the first week of every month from 9:30 - 2:30 PM at the Cooperative Extension Office in Building #20. You will learn about:
- checking and savings accounts
- shopping on a fixed budget
- money values
- credit and more...
All participants will earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for the class. Do you want to get crafty and save $$? Plan ahead for the Holidays? Then come to one of our Holiday Budgeting and Make-n-Take classes this October, November and December!*

Want to eat well and spend wisely? Learn to cook with fresh herbs and traditional, whole foods that nurture your body, mind and spirit! Join Vanessa Cooper and the Financial Literacy staff on Wednesday, Nov. 13th from 11:30 to 1:30 at the Cooperative Extension kitchen.
